End of Summer Campaign Update
š As summer winds down, our campaign to make Huntington a better place to live and work is heating up. Hereās a brief update on some of the things Iāve been focusing on:
šØ Drugs & Homelessness: The #1 issue I hear about is the toll drugs and homelessness are taking on our community. Iām actively engaging with those on the front lines and recently met with the Huntington Housing Authority to better understand some of the obstacles to getting everyone off the streets. Thereās no quick fix, but Iām committed to the hard work needed.
š§ Infrastructure: Whether itās the Hal Greer construction or flooding, Iām hearing loud and clear the thoughts people have about what is happening in our city. Successful projects take thoughtful planning, common-sense designs, and efficient completion.
š·āāļø Support from Labor: Iām especially proud to have the backing of our firefighters, law enforcement, public works, and carpentersā unionsāsupport thatās not often extended to a business owner and WV Chamber of Commerce board member like me.
š” Neighborhood Outreach: In todayās world, face-to-face connections might be considered quaint, but I believe they still matter. Thatās why Iāve been going door-to-door to directly talk with voters. Iāve been humbled by the number of people volunteering to walk their neighborhoods with me and for me on their own.
